Trident of Independence Sheet of Stamps
To commemorate the Day of Dignity and Freedom, symbolizing Ukrainians’ enduring fight for freedom, independence, and territorial integrity, Ukrposhta is issuing a new sheet of artistic stamps titled "Trident of Independence." The official release date is set for November 21, 2024, marking the day that honors the significant events of the 2004 Orange Revolution and the 2013 Revolution of Dignity—milestones that have profoundly shaped modern Ukraine.
This unique sheet includes eight stamps, each featuring Ukraine's national emblem, the trident, as the central theme. The background of each stamp is adorned with vintage seals from past eras, representing different moments in Ukrainian history. Designed by Volodymyr Taran, known for his work on coin, banknote, and stamp designs, the stamps utilize a special embossing technique that adds texture and enhances the design's depth. A total of 60,000 sheets are to be issued.
