Postage stamp "Russian warship... ALL! Death to the enemies!" F
The phrase of Jesus
Christ "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will
perish by the sword" (Matthew 26:52) is very appropriate. This is what
befell the missile cruiser and the Russian military who attacked Ukrainian
lands with threats. Every Ukrainian hopes that it will be not only with the
ship.
What is known about the second stamp
during martial law
The issue of the
second postage stamp "Russian warship... EVERYTHING! Death to
enemies!" was precipitated by a remarkable event that happened to the
flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet on April 14, 2022. The cruiser became
an exhibit of the Naval Museum of Ukraine and an underwater cultural heritage.
The stamp was
issued to commemorate and complete the play in two acts with the title "Russian
warship...". To ensure that the whole world remembers how determined
Ukrainians are to defend their independence and sovereignty, Ukrposhta this
time increased the circulation fivefold. The circulation was issued both with
stamps with a face value in Ukraine F (69 UAH) and for foreign shipments W ($ 4.5).

The excitement
around the stamps with the ship has not stopped, but only intensified. Despite
the increased circulation, 2 million stamps were sold out in 2 days. The
release was also carried out with restrictions on the number of stamps in one
hand. Thus, the complete series became desirable even for people who previously
knew nothing about collecting and philately.

The idea of creation and successful
continuation
The idea to issue a
stamp in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine using the winged expression
belongs entirely to the Main Post of the country. The pages of philately should
immortalize the events of 2022 and dispel myths about neighbors and friendly
nations forever.
The Russian missile
cruiser "Moscow" entered the internal territorial waters of Ukraine
and caused an act of aggression against the integrity of the borders. The
border guards who were on duty on Zmeinyi Island did not lay down their arms
and made it clear to the enemy that they are loyal to Ukraine. The captain of
the ship was able to make sure of this when he heard Roman Gribov's response to
the demand to surrender on the radio.
During martial law
in the country, the obscene phrase did not outrage the society, but on the
contrary made it a slogan. However, Ukrposhta used only part of the phrase in
the name of the first stamp. And in the second one, it was appropriate to put a
full stop. During the competition for the design of the first stamp, the design
of the Crimean artist Boris Grokh was chosen. And in the second stamp, the
author corrected it.
What is left on the stamp
The first and
second stamps in the series with the ship are similar to each other. They
differ literally only in the presence of the ship. More precisely, the ship
moved from the surface to the bottom of the sea. The postage stamp "Russian
warship... ALL! Death to enemies!" is presented on a sheet with a coupon
that repeats the design of the first stamp. Thus, the stamp is presented in
dynamics - on the coupon the ship is still there, and on the stamp it is
already "ALL".
The stamp, like the
first series, is horizontally oriented. In the center, with his back to the
viewer is a Ukrainian marine. He is on the shore of the Black Sea and looks
towards the horizon. However, there is only a quiet endless sea on the horizon.
The soldier holds an assault rifle in his left hand, and his right hand is
raised and shows an obscene gesture. It is directed in the direction where the
enemy ship was.
There is a wide
gray stripe on the left edge of the stamp. On top of it is printed in large
black font the inscription "Ukraine". Below it in a smaller font in
English "Ukraine". Both inscriptions are vertically oriented. At the bottom of the strip is
the denomination F.
On the right side
of the stamp in the upper corner in black is the coat of arms of Ukraine and
the year 2022. At the bottom of the stamp there are two inscriptions in white.
The first is the date of the sinking of the ship - 14.04.2022. The inscription
is in a rectangular frame. Below is the inscription in capital letters
"RUSSIAN WARSHIP... ALL".
