Ukrainian carols in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra postal block

On the eve of the great holiday of Christmas, December 22, 20023, Ukrposhta will introduce a block of stamps "Ukrainian carols in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" into circulation.

The print run is 140,000 copies. The composition consists of three stamps: "Assumption Cathedral". XVIII Art. (Kyiv)", "Give summers of happiness to our glorious Ukraine", "Assumption Cathedral. XVIII–XX centuries. (Kyiv)".

Foil embossing technology was used in the development of the Sketch.

The issue of stamps "Ukrainian Christmas Carols" is dedicated to the historical event - the anniversary of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine holding a Christmas service in the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. A significant event for Ukrainian Christians.

Until 2023, the Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery belonged to the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church. After the invasion of Muscovites on the territory of Ukraine, many traitors of Ukraine who worked for the enemy government were discovered among the priests of the Lavra. The Russian Church was deprived of the right to be in the Kyiv Lavra.

The circulation of the announced postal block was 140,000 copies. The sheet consists of three stamps: "Assumption Cathedral". XVIII Art. (Kyiv)", "Give summers of happiness to our glorious Ukraine", "Assumption Cathedral. XVIII–XX centuries. (Kyiv)".

Denomination of stamps: X (40 UAH), F (23 UAH). The price of a postal block is UAH 103.

The designer of the postal block, card, envelope and stamp was the Honored Artist of Ukraine Mykolai Kochubei. The release was made with the assistance of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve.

The stamps continue the Christmas theme of the Ukrainian post office, which the state enterprise always pays a lot of attention to.
