The “Land of Superhumans” Postage Stamp Series 

The Land of Superhumans postage stamp series and its commemorative sheet are more than a philatelic issue. They form a visual chronicle of the strength of the human spirit, fixed on paper and sent out into the world with letters, carrying the truth about today’s Ukraine — a country of pain and struggle, yet also of hope.

This series was born at a time when trials became everyday reality and courage became the norm. The heroes depicted on the stamps are not fictional: they are real people, veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war who lost limbs but did not lose themselves. In the artistic images created by Andrii Yermolenko, prosthetics are not hidden — on the contrary, they are emphasized as symbols of new strength, a new identity, and a new Ukraine. These are images of people who have already passed through darkness and now look forward.

The series consists of three narrative stamps, each representing a distinct emotion and, at the same time, a stage of a shared journey.
“Victory” conveys the silence after the storm, a moment of inner balance. The veteran’s figure stands firmly, as if saying: the path was difficult, but I endured.
“Struggle” is filled with tension and movement — a symbol of constant resistance that continues not only on the battlefield, but also in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and within one’s own body.
“Hope” opens the horizon. A person holding the Ukrainian flag looks toward the future, where pain does not disappear instantly, but gradually gives way to faith, light, and life.

The stamp sheet unites these three images into a single composition, turning them into a symbolic map of the “Land of Superhumans” — a land where heroism needs no pathos, and hope is born from lived loss. The sheet reads like a story: from tension to calm, from struggle to the future.

An essential part of this issue is its charitable mission. The series was created at the initiative of Superhumans Center, a nationwide center for war trauma that helps those affected by the war return to active, full lives. Each stamp becomes not only a means of paying for postal services, but also a contribution to restoring human destinies, in particular to the physical rehabilitation of patients at Superhumans Dnipro.
