Postal block No. 223 “By sword and will” is a majestic artistic manifesto of Ukrainian indomitability and unquenchable hope, paving the way through the darkness. The image in the file mechemivoleiublok-800x800.webp brings to life Oleg Shupliak’s epic canvas “The Great Battle of Ukraine with Mordor. 2022”. The composition visualizes a sacred confrontation: on the left, under the protection of the blessed Oranta and under blue-yellow banners, the titans of the Ukrainian resistance rise. On the right, a faceless dark invasion fiercely looms. Fiery sparks and smoke have frozen in the hearth, but through the glow the golden rays of a new dawn break through - a symbol of faith that every piece of the native land will certainly be bathed in the light of freedom.

Ukrposhta in this small piece of paper managed to reflect all the feelings of the Ukrainian people that they experienced during those years of struggle for independence and freedom.

The history of the stamp reflects the dramatic chronicle of the struggle: from the insidious attack on Crimea and Donbas in 2014 to the large-scale tsunami of aggression on February 24, 2022, which united the entire people in the name of freedom.
