Coats of Arms of Cities, Towns, and Villages of Ukraine Stamp Sheet 2024
The stamp sheet "Coats of Arms of Cities, Towns, and Villages of Ukraine" for 2024 is like a journey through the country's symbols and history. You perceive it not just as a sheet with stamps, but as a part of cultural heritage.
Artist Yuriy Ryabchynskyy skillfully incorporated the soul of each locality into the standard sheet. With 19 stamps and 2 coupons, following the ninth standard issue of postage stamps, the sheet reveals the diversity of coats of arms of 12 cities, 5 towns, and 4 villages.
This journey covers the entire Ukraine—from Kyiv to Lviv, from Odesa to Dnipro. Particularly striking is the inclusion of the coats of arms of cities temporarily occupied, such as Yalta and Yenakiyeve. It's like an attempt to preserve their history and essence in challenging times.
The coats of arms are intricately embedded in shields and crowned with heraldic crowns. They tell the stories of cities and villages—those that were once cities and those that have always remained villages. Another hidden feature of the stamps is the symbolism of the crowns. Cities have silver urban crowns, villages with red wreaths, and those that were once cities but lost that status have red urban crowns.
The sheet "Coats of Arms of Cities and Towns of Ukraine" was originally planned for release in 2022, but circumstances led to its postponement to 2024. Despite external war and aggression, within each stamp lies the beauty and diversity of Ukraine.
The following coats of arms of Ukrainian cities are reproduced on the stamp sheet:
- Stamp No. 1569-A "Chop, Zakarpattia Oblast," nominal value — "T";
- Stamp No. 1570-A "Marynyn, Rivne Oblast," nominal value — "N";

The sheet contains 19 stamps + 2 coupons. The print run of the sheet is 37,500 copies (including 13,500 copies of imperforated and numbered sheets).
Additionally, an imperforated stamp sheet No. 38-B has been printed for: inclusion in souvenir booklets (numbered), placement in the book "Postage Stamps of Ukraine 2024," and to encourage philatelic activists. This sheet will be quite interesting for philatelic collectors.
