Stamp Block "Ukrainian National Clothing"

In 2024, Ukrposhta continues to promote Ukraine's cultural heritage by introducing a stamp block from the series "Ukrainian National Clothing." This issue showcases the regional uniqueness and festive spirit of traditional costumes worn during celebrations in historic Ukrainian territories.

Stamp Block No. 215 (No. 215-8) includes six stamps, each dedicated to a specific holiday and region:

• Stamp No. 2142 (No. 2142-B): “Kursk Region. Yavdokha Festival”
• Stamp No. 2143 (No. 2143-B): “Kursk Region. Prokopiy Festival”
• Stamp No. 2144 (No. 2144-B): “Belgorod Region. Easter”
• Stamp No. 2145 (No. 2145-B): “Belgorod Region. Kolodiy Festival”
• Stamp No. 2146 (No. 2146-B): “Kuban. Family Celebration”
• Stamp No. 2147 (No. 2147-B): “Kuban. St. George’s Day”

These stamps highlight the diversity of Ukrainian traditional clothing, which was an integral part of rituals, customs, and festive life in the regions.

Stamp Block Specifications

• Dimensions of each stamp: 29.58 x 33.06 mm
• Block dimensions: 100 x 140 mm
• Denomination of the stamps: "M" (equivalent to the domestic postage rate for letters weighing over 50 grams and up to 250 grams, as well as postcards).
• Print run of the block: 30,000 copies (4,500 of which are imperforate, specially produced for holders of the philatelic subscriptions "Exclusive" and "Exclusive+", inclusion in the "Postage Stamps of Ukraine 2025" book, and as rewards for active participants in the philatelic community).

Artistic Design

The stamps, block, first-day covers (FDC), and special cancellations (SPC) were designed by the distinguished Ukrainian artist Mykola Kochubei.

Printing Technology

The stamps and block were printed using offset printing technology on the "Ukraine" printing complex, ensuring high quality and durability.
