Transcarpathian Ukraine series of postage stamps
A series of stamps of Transcarpathian Ukraine with the image of a five-pointed star with a hammer and sickle. Stamps entered circulation in June and August 1945. On these postage stamps, the denominations are indicated without the name of the currency. They were printed in Lam's private printing house in Uzhhorod. The series consists of six stamps of different colors and denominations. The series was actively used to pay for postal services during the summer and autumn of 1945.

Transcarpathian Ukraine is a state entity founded in November 1944 on the territory of Transcarpathia with the assistance of the Soviet military administration after the expulsion of the German and Hungarian occupation forces. At first it formally existed as part of the Czechoslovak Republic, later it became part of Soviet Ukraine.
The total circulation of the series of stamps was 1,318,800 copies. Stamps of this series have various color shades. For example, the 40-denomination stamp can be found in colors from pale green to rich dark green. The situation is similar for brands of other denominations. Throughout this series, many typographical errors, omissions and perforation shifts have been noted. In the August issue of stamps, in addition to the face value, the year of issue is also indicated.

On November 15, 1945, in accordance with the treaty between the USSR and Czechoslovakia, Transcarpathian Ukraine became part of the Ukrainian SSR, and the Soviet post office began operating on its territory.
