"Zakarpatska Poshta" stamp

The stamp series "Liberation of Carpathian Ukraine" was issued by the Postal Administration of the National Council of Carpathian Ukraine on May 1, 1945, to pay for postal services. The commemorative stamps include:

1. "Soviet Soldier-Liberator" with a red-colored nominal of 60;
2. "Broken Chains" with a blue-colored nominal of 100;
3. "Freedom" with a blue and red nominal of 200.

The theme centers on the liberation of Carpathian Ukraine from occupation. All stamps were printed using offset lithography in Uzhhorod and feature perforations (though imperforated versions are rare, with existing varieties). The nominal values are 60, 100, and 200 (without specifying the currency). The total print run was 176,600 copies.

Officially, the stamps were issued with line perforations of 11½, but imperforated versions exist for all three stamps. The printing plate for the 60 and 100 denominations consists of 56 fields, with six not used for stamps but displaying only a small star. The 200 denomination was printed from two different plates.
