This little pearl, which reflects the spirit of our people, is a real masterpiece of artistic embodiment, created under the inspiration of the unsurpassed "Aeneid" by Ivan Kotlyarevsky.

Ivan Kotlyarevskyi is the founder of new Ukrainian literature, who was the first to give us the pearl of national culture - the poem "Aeneid". This is an outstanding work in which the author, with the help of bright language and humor, showed the multifacetedness of the Ukrainian people, their traditions and customs. It was this work that inspired Anatoliy Bazylevich, a prominent Ukrainian artist, to create a series of illustrations, one of which became the basis for stamp No. 1494.

The brand, called ""Eneas was a motor boy..." Hud. Anatoly Bazilevich", recreates a scene from "Aeneid", full of life and energy. It depicts the main character, Aeneas, a cheerful and brave Cossack, who became a symbol of the strength and indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people. The illustration conveys not only the appearance of the hero, but also his inner world, where courage, good-naturedness and national flavor are intertwined.

Anatoliy Bazylevych, Ukrainian artist, master of book graphics, People's Artist of Ukraine, always stood out for his ironic attitude and bright personality. His works are always full of humor and warmth, and these traits of the artist's character are reflected on the stamp. The illustration made by him is a unique reproduction of a scene from the Aeneid, which, thanks to its detail and vivid colors, literally comes alive before us.

The face value of the stamp is UAH 5.25, and the circulation is 130,000 copies, which makes it available to a wide range of philatelists and art connoisseurs. The stamp has a format of 33x30 mm, which allows you to convey all the details of the illustration and gives it a special charm. It is multi-colored, and the printing method is offset, which ensures high quality and brightness of the image. The stamp is printed at SE "Ukraine Printing Plant for the manufacture of securities", which guarantees its durability and resistance to wear.

A barcode is printed on the margins of the stamp sheet, which ensures its uniqueness and protection against counterfeiting. The order for production was placed on February 16, 2016 (sub. 16-3106). Also on the margins of the sheet are the inscriptions: "Artist Anatoly Bazilevich" and "Ukraine laughs", which emphasizes the importance of this issue as an important cultural phenomenon.

The design of the stamp was developed by the talented Svitlana Bondar, who was able to convey all the beauty and energy of Anatoly Bazilevich's illustrations. The design of the stamp used for the special redemption was created by Oleksiy Bazilevich, who continued the family art tradition.

To accompany the release, an artistic unmarked card for cardmaximum was also released, which allows you to immerse yourself even more deeply in the world of "Aeneid" and feel its spirit.
