— these lines by Sydir Vorobkevych, echoing the soul of the Ukrainian people, come to life on the new postage stamp “Language” issued by Ukrposhta.

The “Ukrainian Language” stamp is not merely a small piece of paper but a true creation of spiritual symbolism. In it, artist Mykolai Kochubei has woven a magnificent mosaic of images where history, tradition, and modernity intertwine.
At the center of the composition stands Ukraine, personified as a woman — the guardian of the word — holding a kobza, a symbol of our lyrical and singing soul. Around her bloom vivid flowers, birds soar, melodies flow, and the faces of our ancestors and artists remind us: language is the memory of generations, the voice of the earth that speaks through the ages.

The color palette of the stamp is rich and vibrant, like the Ukrainian spirit itself — from deep blue to fiery red. Every line pulsates with the rhythm of the Ukrainian word, which does not fade even in the darkest of times.

The stamp sheet contains four postage stamps, each one a separate world, yet together they create a harmonious symphony of Ukrainian identity.
The sheet’s background is rendered in soft blue tones with a pattern reminiscent of traditional embroidery — the thread that stitches together the past and the present of our people.
Along the margins are the Ukrposhta logo, the Ukrainian coat of arms, and the inscription “Native Language”, which seems to speak directly to the heart: cherish it, nurture it, speak it!

This stamp issue is dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, emphasizing that the word is our spiritual front line.
