One hundred years since the birth of Roman Shukhevych, a postage stamp
Roman Shukhevich was the chief commander of the UPA in the period from 1943 to 1950. The hero devoted his life to the struggle for the Ukrainian state. Being an active political and military figure, General Shukhevych left a huge mark in the struggle for the creation of Ukrainian Statehood. In 2007, he was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. The hero's biography is very rich. On postage stamps, Roman Shukhevych is present mostly in issues of the Underground Post of Ukraine and a few issues of the Ukrainian Diaspora.
