Monument to the liberators of Ukraine non-postal stamp UTOPIK
On this stamp, created by the Ukrainian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments in the twelfth issue of 1990, the glorious history of the liberation of the native land comes to life. The stamp has a classic 32mm x 47mm rectangular format with 12 ½ x 12 serrations and an adhesive side. Its two-color performance — blue and red — adds emotional strength, and the contrast of colors emphasizes the drama of the depicted scene.
In the foreground of the composition stands out the text in Ukrainian: "Ukrainian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments", elegantly engraved in the upper part of the stamp. It symbolizes the continuity of traditions of preservation of historical memory. In the lower part, on a bright red background, the denomination is indicated - 30 kopecks.
In the center of the stamp is an artistic representation of the "Ukraine-liberators" memorial complex, located in the village of Milove. This monument, inaugurated on May 7, 1972, perpetuates the indomitable spirit of liberation. His sculptural composition depicts a soldier bowing his head, holding a doffed cap in his hands, as a symbol of deep respect for his native land. Next to him is the figure of a freed woman who touchingly fell on the chest of her protector. Their image, depicted in blue and red tones, radiates strength, gratitude and a winning spirit.
The frame of the stamp subtly delineates its borders, adding a sense of completeness. Its clear lines symbolize the border between the past and the present, reminding that the exploits of the heroes will always remain in the heart of the nation.
This stamp is not only a work of art, but also a practical tool of charity. All funds received from its implementation were directed to the reconstruction of the memorial complex in order to maintain its greatness and significance for future generations.
The mystery of the mintage adds to the stamp's collectible value, making it a coveted prize for philatelists. Its uniqueness and emotional depth remind us that even decades after the liberation events, Ukraine remembers its heroes, their feat and struggle for freedom.
To the liberators, the Ukraine brand is more than just a collector's item. It is a piece of history that embodies memory, pride and undying national identity. It reminds of the feats of the past and obliges contemporaries to protect the freedom they have won.
