Letter to Saint Nicholas postage stamp
Amid the festive atmosphere, Ukrposhta presents another holiday gem for philately enthusiasts – the "Letter to Saint Nicholas" postage stamp. This issue combines the magic of children’s dreams with the warmth of faith in goodness, which always triumphs, even in the most challenging times.
The sketch was created by renowned Ukrainian artist and illustrator Kost Lavro, who infused the stamp with brightness and charm. The inspiration for the design came from a real letter written by a boy to Saint Nicholas, full of hope and sincerity.
The stamp depicts a picturesque winter scene: a child sits at a table carefully writing a letter, with a candle flickering nearby, creating an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. Outside the window, a snowy landscape sets the mood of a holiday fairy tale.
The philatelic series includes a stamp sheet "Letter to Saint Nicholas" featuring three stamps, a "First Day Cover" adorned with winter motifs, and a postal card that complements the festive set.
